AFRICAN LULLABY charity event
Chiesi Foundation Onlus is pleased to present the charity dinner "African Lullaby", in collaboration with Silvano Romani Catering and Simona Manfredi. The event will take place on Friday September 11th, in a wonderful location: the Ducal Palace of Colorno, also known as Reggia di Colorno, just a few kilometres from Parma.
The funds raised thanks to the charity event will support the Neonatology Department of the Saint Camille Hospital in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The Chiesi Foundation collaborates with the Hospital since 2010, in order to contribute to increase the quality of the care of neonates. The current need is to enlarge the available space of the neonatology, in order to face the increasing number of neonates hospitalised. The Chiesi Foundation is committed to support this important project.
This project is part of a 5-years program of intervention called NEST - Neonatal Essential Survival Technology - Project, developed by the Chiesi Foundation. The idea is to collaborate with healthcare facilities in low resources countries to increase the quality of neonatal care, by providing medical equipment adequate to the different contexts and protocols for the correct use of basic drugs in neonatal care and by developing a training program in essential neonatal care for the local staff which deals with newborns.
To carry out the NEST Project, the Chiesi Foundation collaborates with three African hospitals to implement pilot neonatal survival interventions. One of these hospitals is the Saint Camille Hospital in Ouagadougou. For more details related to the collaboration between the Foundation and the Saint Camille Hospital, click here.
The charity dinner "African Lullaby" is reserved to companies (or individuals) who wish to book a table for their guests.
