Center for maternal and child health, Hospital S.Camillo, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The Chiesi Foundation has launched a three-year project in collaboration with the association Medicus Mundi Onlus and the religious order of ST. Camillo for the transfer of technical knowledge and materials to the center of maternal and child health to Ouaga in Burkina Faso.

The planned activities include:
–    The construction of the delivery room and the emergency room.
–    The financing of the recruitment of nurses to the night shift.
–    The funding of travel of instructors, the creation of a school for nurses, the purchase of medicnes and materials.

 

Service of endoscopy and thoracic Respiratory Pathophysiology, Hospital at Marituba – Brazil.

It is the Hospital of the Congregation of the Poor Servants of the Divine Providence, the work of Saint John Calabria, at Marituba, center sub-urban of Belem, capital of the Brazilian state of Parana. For some years, the Congregation, in collaboration with the doctors of the Hospital Sacred Heart of Negrar, is pursuing a plan of intervention aimed between which the start of a service of Endoscopy chest at the hospital at Marituba and continuous and active collaboration with the Respiratory Medicine at the state University of Parana. The most frequent pathologies are tuberculosis, parasitic diseases and pathology chronic obstructive airway (asthma and chronic bronchitis).
By means of the Foundation in 2010 we started a project for a period of three years dedicated to the training program of the medical and nursing staff of the local service of Endoscopic thoracic.

 

Training Courses in medical centers and medical dispensaries in the province of Kati – Mali.

In the course of this year we have supported the efforts of AFRICABOUGOU ONLUS, a non-profit association, founded in 2006, which focuses its efforts in favor of the rural villages of Sub-saharan africa. The project has focused on the implementation of a training course at medical centers and medical dispensaries in the province of Kati, near the capital, Bamako, in Mali Republic. The economic contribution of the Foundation has been used for the purchase of microscopes and all the material necessary to the completion of the course. At the end of the course materials purchased will be distributed to medical centers and dispensaries where will be stationed staff format.
