Respiration day 2013
Parma (Italy), May 31, 2013 – The ninth edition of the Respiration Day, kicks off today in Parma, a beautiful Italian town in the North of Italy. The Respiration Day is a unique event dedicated to the study of Asthma and COPD, that hosts more than 700 Researchers, Clinicians and health specialists coming from all over the world.
Every year the event focuses on a different aspect of the pathologies which are discussed in depth; the Respiration Day 2013 edition, “Managing exacerbations of asthma and COPD: are we there yet?” aims at sharing the most recent updates on the management of exacerbations on patients affected by respiratory pathologies. The topic will be discussed confronting different points of view during the several sessions during the day, examining also some specific Case History.
Dario Olivieri, Professor at the Department of Clinical Sciences of the University of Parma is the scientific coordinator of the event: “Exacerbations represent an important parameter to reflect the control level of the pathology in patients affected by asthma or COPD. Such episodes indicate the progressive worsening of the respiratory symptoms. The study of the exacerbations is crucial for the cure of these pathologies and it is the main goal of today’s event.”
