The charity dinner Boundary Children
Since 2012, Chiesi Foundation is committed to support one of the learning centers managed by the Burmese Migrant Workers’ Education Committee (BMWEC). This organization, based in Mae Sot, a town in Western Thailand, at the moment oversees education for approximately 4000 children, in 23 learning centers with 200 teachers.
In June 2014, the Foundation organized the charity dinner Boundary Children, with the aim to continue to help these children and to give them the possibility to learn and play in a safe enviroment.
The funds, raised thanks to the dinner, will be used to give financial support to two learning centers, for the school year 2014-2015, by covering the running costs including teachers’ salaries, schools’ mantenance and primary health assistance for the children.
Moreover, during the event, Chiesi Foundation organized a fundraising auction to collect funds for another solidarity project, aimed to help the children living in the Central African Republic.
